Dead Rising Off the Record

The list of trophies that leaked yesterday was an evidence solid enough to suggest that the original Dead Rising was really being re-released to the latest generation of consoles. However, now we have confirmation that not only the rumor was true but Capcom is also releasing Dead Rising 2: Off the Record!

Since the list of trophies leaked had brought a lot of attention to the matter, the developers were left with nothing but officially announcing that the game really was coming.

They did that, but still managed to pack a surprise for the Dead Rising fans. Capcom has announced that apart from bringing back the original adventures of Frank West, they are also going to reintroduce us to the reimagined Dead Rising 2 in the form of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record.

Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon.

Clearly, since they are bringing us Frank West in Dead Rising 4, they don’t want to put us in the shoes of Nick Ramos or Chuck Greene.

Anyhow, that is all what the developers have confirmed; they are yet to reveal what the re-releases are going to pack for us.

The takeaway here is that the developers are looking to use these two releases to draw more attention towards the franchise before Dead Rising 4 is released and that is the primary reason why we are also getting the original Dead Rising on Xbox One and PC and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on Xbox One alongside the PlayStation 4 versions of both the games.
