Pokemon Go Candy

To put it simply, there are two foolproof ways of getting your hands on Candy, undertaking which can guarantee a steady flow of Candy to you. However, before that you should know that Candy is not a general item. In fact, it is an item that is specific to every specie of Pokemon. Therefore, you have to collect Candy separately for every evolution family.

That being said, let us tell you that you don’t need to worry too much about how to collect it because you will never stop catching Pokemon as long as you are playing Pokemon Go, and catching Pokemon is the simplest way of getting your hands on Candy.

Regardless of whether it was the first time you caught a Pokemon or not, it will get you some Candy as well as some Stardust. Now when you are looking to evolve a Pokemon, you will need the Candy specific to that family and in order to get that Candy you will need to catch multiple Pokemon of that specific specie and keep pooling up.

While this is one way, the other is to use Pokemon transfers. While the game doesn’t offer transfers among friends so far, you can transfer Pokemon to Professor Willow, who will, in turn get you some more Candy.

The process is simple again, just click on the Pokemon you want to transfer, and then tap Transfer button which can be found at the bottom of the screen. Naturally, this will also get you Candy for the same evolution family that the Pokemon belonged to, effectively giving you the same Candy more than once for each Pokemon.

Walk With A Buddy Pokemon
A while back, Niantic added the ability to assign a Buddy Pokemon who, after walking for a while, rewards you with a Candy. However, do note that some Pokemon require you to cover quite a lot of distance before they reward you. Therefore, it’s highly recommended that you explore this method before attempting it.

Use Berries At Gyms
Introduced back in 2017, feeding a Pokemon when inside a Gym has a chance of dropping a Candy. This is arguably one of the easiest ways of acquiring some high-level Candy, provided you’ve enough Berries at your disposal.

Use Pinap Berries
Introduced with the Gen-2 update, you can always use a berry called Pinap Berry that essentially doubles the amount of Candy that you receive if your next catch attempts successful. Therefore, try to hold onto the Pinap Berries and use them whenever you encounter a Wild Pokemon.

That’s pretty much it, when it comes to Pokemon Go Candy. If you have anything else to add to the guide, let us know in the comments section below!
