Koei-Tecmo Adds More Berserk Warriors Screenshots
Koei-Tecmo has added more screenshots of Berserk Warriors, the upcoming musou game that was announced at E3 2016. In something of a departure from previous musou titles, Berserk Warriors isn’t going to be pulling any punches when it releases on September 21 in Japan. This is Berserk we’re talking about, after all.
Berserk is probably one of the more brutal anime shows out there, taking place in a world where war is constant, along with demon attacks and bloody injuries. There are no squeaky-clean heroes here, and no mercy for anyone that gets themselves captured; rape, murder, and bloody carnage are always assured. Berserk almost like an anime Game of Thrones as Guts, a member of the Band of the Hawk mercenary group, fights to kill his former comrade Griffith.
Berserk is known for bloody battles and vicious combat, and Berserk Warriors will be continuing this tradition. Guts will still be doing the musou thing of carving his way through hundreds of enemies, but unlike in other games there will be blood shed in these massive battles.
Berserk Warriors has been confirmed to be going through three story arcs of the Berserk series: the Golden Age Arc, the Black Swordsman Arc, and the Millennium Falcon arc, telling the story of Berserk. Koei-Tecmo is well-versed in making crossover musou games, as they’ve also made musou games for series like Gundam and One Piece.
The Berserk Warriors screenshots show us being able to fight as many of our favorite Berserk characters, including Guts, Griffith, Casca, and other members of the Band of the Hawk. Players will also be fighting demons and monsters as they progress through the game, and you can even do things like use Guts’s cannon arm in battle.
