Nintendo NX t-shirt design contest

For some reason, Nintendo just wouldn’t officially reveal their new console but they are giving away one unit of the new console for free with a T-shirt designing competition!

The company has partnered with Uniqlo, a Japanese clothing store, for the contest which is open to all. No matter what age you are, or what region you are in, you can participate and get a chance to win not only the new concept console but much more.

All you have got to do is design a T-shirt themed with Nintendo and send it to them here between July 1 and August 31. Then, a team on Nintendo judges led by Shigeru Miyamoto will pick up the winner of the grand prize, the second prize as well as the runner ups.

Here’s everything you can win alongside the Nintendo NX console:

Grand Prize: $10,000 + an invitation to the awards ceremony in which Shigeru Miyamoto will participate + a new concept game console NX (development codename) from Nintendo specially autographed by Shigeru Miyamoto + special commemorative prize.

2nd Prize: $3,000 + an invitation to the awards ceremony in which Shigeru Miyamoto will participate + a new concept game console NX (development codename) from Nintendo specially autographed by Shigeru Miyamoto.

Runner-up Prize: $500.

If you are interested in participating in the design contest, you will have to download the format from the website given above, design your T-shirt on it, and upload it through the entry form available on the same website.

They also have a very detailed question and answer section on the website which fills you in nicely on everything important.

Last but not the least, Nintendo is saying you can use characters from Super Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, Metroid, Kirby and Donkey Kong for designing purposes.

This looks like a very creative way of evolving the fan base, although we would really like it if they just reveal the Nintendo NX already – they are talking about it for stuff like this after all.
