Here’s How Uncharted 4 Ranked TDM System Works in Multiplayer
Naughty Dog has been working hard on the Uncharted 4 Ranked TDM System i.e. the Ranked Team Deathmatch feature, and now that it is all fresh let us look at how everything works.
You basically start unranked and play 5 placement matches once you have been initiated into the ranks namely Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, you start earning Rank Points to get better. However, the points awarding system is pretty delicate:
The amount you earn will be based off your overall performance rating compared to the average rating in your Rank (players who have a higher rating than their current Rank will earn more points) and whether your team or the enemy team is favored to win (teams that are not favored to win will earn more points. At the start of the match you can see which team is favored to win.
The first series of qualifier matches will start after you get 100 Rank Points and determine if you are worthy of the next Rrank. This is where you hav to win a given number of matches out of five in order to qualify.
If you are able to win enough of the qualifiers, you get ranked up, otherwise you lose some Rank Points.
Naughty Dog is giving you a leeway in the Uncharted 4 Ranked TDM if you are on a losing spree. Even if you go down to zero Rank Points, you still get to try some more without being demoted.
While that almost sums up how the system works in the Uncharted 4 multiplayer, expect some more additions and changes to it soon.
Naughty Dog says they want a season-like approach to the whole thing, to reset rankings after a given time a hence restart the progression.
