Playstation Mid-Year Sale Offers Two Weeks of Discounts
In addition to the flash sale that came out last weekend, Sony has announced a Playstation Mid-Year Sale, which offers two weeks of discounts on games for many of the offered consoles and movies on the Playstation Store.
These include everything from various arcade games to high-profile releases such as Street Fighter 5, Doom, and more.
The sale seems to be Playstation’s own version of the Steam Summer Sale, which is still ongoing and will continue until July 4. The first week of the Playstation Mid-Year Sale will be going from today, June 28, to next Tuesday, July 5. On July 5 the Week One offers for the sale will end and Playstation will move on to the Week 2 deals.
The Week 2 deals will have different deals on different games, and likely on different movies as well, so you’ll probably be able to grab more games when the next week of the sale becomes available for Playstation Network members.
For now, games on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and various movies available on the store are all on sale. These range from Street Fighter 5 and Doom, as mentioned above, to games like Tharsis (a survival game where you must address problems on your ship on your way to Mars), Tales from the Borderlands, and Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell.
Movies included in the Playstation Mid-Year Sale are everything from the 2014 war movie “Fury” and “Taken” to movies like “Yakuza Apocalypse” and “The Interview.”
Many of the Playstation Mid-Year Sale games have discounts ranging all the way up to 80 or 90 percent off (depending if you’re a PS Plus member or not), so if you’ve been wanting something badly and missed the flash sale this past weekend, now is the perfect opportunity to go and buy it. And if you don’t see anything you want this week, there’s always next week’s deals for you to look at.
