New Street Fighter 5 Maps and Costumes Are Coming
If you’re one of those people that likes to dress up your fighters in silly costumes in fighting games, then the new Street Fighter 5 maps and costumes that are coming soon are going to be right up your alley. This is also in addition to the game’s upcoming story mode and a returning character, Ibuki!
There will be three new stage variations coming to Street Fighter 5, each one a variant on a pre-existing map. There will be a variant for the Kanzuki Estate (at day and with cherry blossom petals flying around, rather than the original’s night-time), the Air Force base (at night) and a night-time variant of the Mysterious Waterfall stage.
Of course part of the new Street Fighter 5 maps and costumes are the actual costumes. We’ll be getting around 20 new skins for various characters including Ryu, Rashid, Cammy, Chun-Li, Zangief, and more.
They’re all fairly interesting-looking costumes too, ranging from various new wrestling outfits for R. Mika, to a hermit-look for Ryu, a more Arab-looking style for Rashid, and making Necalli look like he belongs in some kind of death metal band.
You can see all of the new Street Fighter 5 maps and costumes in the gallery that comes with this article. The costumes and stages will all be available to buy for either Fight Money (the game’s in-game currency) or for real money, though thankfully not very much of the latter.
Some of the upcoming costumes are even related to the game’s “A Shadow Falls” story mode, which will be coming to the game in a later update. With Akuma deciding to take a little side-trip to Tekken, Necalli will be picking up the slack as he tries to absorb the souls of the strongest fighters in the world.
All of the new Street Fighter 5 maps and costumes will become available next week, so be on the lookout for them on Playstation 4 and Steam.
