By   /   Jun 21, 2016

Sega has released a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming Yakuza Zero detailing the game’s combat mechanics and some of the mini-games – snooker, bowling, darts – that players will be able to play.

As the name suggests, Yakuza Zero essentially serves as a prequel to all previously released Yakuza games and is set in 1980s. The game revolves around Majima Goro – the primary protagonist – his rise to power and rivalry against Kazuma Kiryu.

The gameplay trailer that can be seen attached above details the game’s bloody combat system. From the looks of it, looks like simple brawl and fist fighting will be more than enough to deal damage to enemies. Furthermore, there is a Rush Mode which basically allows really fast set of attacks.

In addition to combat mechanics, we also got to see a few mini-games including bowling, snooker, darts, and more. Yakuza Zero will also players to date which is another mini-game. This is initiated by heading to a club and talking to a girl on a phone.

Once done, players will be asked to answer a few questions after which they will be able to go on a date with that girl. You can check out the trailer attached above and share your impressions with us in the comments section below!

Yakuza Zero is announced as a Playstation 4 exclusive and is scheduled to release sometime in Early 2017 in North America and Europe.
