In today’s video, we discuss something subjective – are video game remasters good or bad? And...
Zelda: Breath of the Wild Villain “Calamity Ganon” is Breaking Free to Destroy You!
We know that Zelda: Breath of the Wild is so massive it is 12 times bigger than Twilight Princess and we also know that the demo we saw at E3 2016 was but one percent of the whole game! This means there is a lot that has been kept under the wraps, including the Zelda: Breath of the Wild villain.
But don’t worry, there also was an extended gameplay demo of the game that you might not been able to dig into yet, which is why we’ll make things easier for you and let you know who exactly is the new antagonist planning to wreak havoc on Hyrule.
He is a Gannon, and his name is Calamity Ganon. However, Calamity Ganon is not new per se, because he was involved in troublemaking in the world of Hyrule as long ago as 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild.
Calamity Ganon was then locked away in the Hyrule Castle – surely deserving of his character – but now he is planning to escape and not only cause chaos in the world but destroy it once and for all.
The concern is real, and the duty to address it falls on the shoulders of good old Link – without the female version of Link.
Back to the Zelda: Breath of the Wild villain now; after the preview of the game we got at E3 2016, there is a scene where Oman Au, the creator, is shown talking to the character. Here, the old guardian refers to Calamity Ganon while telling Link about his mission:
I am a humble monk, blessed with the sight of Goddess Hylia and dedicated to those who seek to defeat Ganon. With your arrival, my duty is now fulfilled.
We are going to keep looking for more details on the Zelda: Breath of the Wild villain, stay tuned!
