Pokemon Sun and Moon Legendary Pokemon Will Have New Forms
Information has recently come out that just revealed that Pokemon Sun and Moon Legendary Pokemon (Solgaleo and Lunala) both have special forms that you can command them to transform into in the middle of battle similar to X and Y’s Mega Evolutions.
Both phases were revealed yesterday during Nintedo’s Treehouse streams for E3.
Solgaleo and Lunala are not actually the first Legendary Pokemon to have different forms. That’s not just with Evolution either. Other Legendary or pseudo-Legendary Pokemon like Shaymin, Keldeo, Deoxys, Meloetta and more all had other forms of their own.
Solgaleo and Lunala’s forms are both related to the symbolism that they have as the Pokemon Sun and Moon Legendary Pokemon. Solgaleo, as the Sun Pokemon, has the Radiant Sun form. Lunala, as the Moon Pokemon, has a Full Moon form. Both Pokemon are wreathed in dark clouds even as their bodies glow brighter to truly accent the forces they represent.
We can only assume that with forms like this (and the possibility of Mega Evolutions returning) Pokemon battles will also get more intense as they go. Not to mention what all Solgaleo and Lunala will be able to do once the two Pokemon Sun and Moon Legendary Pokemon get into their new forms.
Add that to the game’s increase in battle animations like Pokemon looking at you for direction, spectators, and your trainers actually being in the battle, and Pokemon Sun and Moon looks like it will be a lot more intense. Not to mention the Battle Royale mode, the free-for-all battle mode.
However it turns out, we’ll just have to wait until November for Pokemon Sun and Moon to come out to see just how nuts the battles will be getting. Personally as someone that wants to play Sun to get Solgaleo, I’m really excited to see how powerful its Radiant Sun mode will be.
