Gears Of War 4 Horde Mode Requires Only The Host To Own The map
Microsoft had a lot of surprises at its E3 conference, including the reveal of Xbox One S and cross-play support for almost all of its game. However, surprises are not stopping even after the conference, as we have just been told that all of the players will not require to own Gears Of War 4 Horde mode maps to play with friends.
In an interview with Shacknews, The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson talked about Gears Of War 4 Horde Mode and some of its features. One of the features Fergusson mentioned will blow your mind, as only the host will require to own the particular map in order for friends to play.
This means players will now be able to play with other players or friends and enjoy a particular Gears Of War 4 Horde mode map without actually owning it. This will allow the players to checkout maps and decide for themselves if they like it or not, and buy it afterwards.
This step is a good gesture from the Gears Of War 4 developers, as they are creating more accessibility to the co-op maps for their fans to enjoy.
Microsoft revealed during the conference that Gears Of War 4 will be available for both PC and Xbox One, and will be one of the first games to take advantage of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program.
Moreover, players will not need to buy the game twice for both systems, as Microsoft has announced that if players own Gears Of War 4 for one system it will be available for the other for free.
Gears Of War 4 will bring the iconic Gears Of War weapon, Lancer, back along with a slew of other weapons. However, the highlight of the announcement was confirmation that Marcus Fenix will return in Gears Of War 4 at some capacity.
Gears Of War 4 will release on October 11, 2016 exclusively for PC and Xbox One.
