God of War: Kratos Has a New Voice Actor
Kratos has found a new voice actor in Christopher Judge. He is the star of Stargate SG-1, he also appeared in Batman The Dark Knight Rises and other projects.
The voice of Kratos sounded very familier but different from the previous games. Judge confirmed him being Kratos shortly after Sony announced God of War at E3 2016.
I can now confirm I am Kratos #GodofWar4

The new God of War game will present a different take on Kratos. He is a different being than we know him to be. His rage in his control and he does not want it to be passed on to his son. The footage we saw at E3 2016 was spectacular, the combat looks fluid, enemies are more detailed than ever, and Kratos with his new beard looks badass.
Judge’s take on Kratos is being appreciated by his followers and God of War fans.
@iamchrisjudge I’m very much looking forward to the game now, due in no small part to your acting. Can’t wait. : )

@iamchrisjudge I knew that voice was familiar!! Only seen you in SG-1 too and I still had an inkling that was you.

Sony Santa Monica‘s choice for Kratos is spot on because not many actors can add so much power to their voice like Judge can. Also, he does have some experience taking down false gods.
The new God of War game will release for PlayStation 4 but we don’t have a release date for the time being. Expect it to hit stores in Fall 2017 or early 2018.
