Final Fantasy XV Xbox One Gameplay Demo From E3 2016 Features Titan, Rough Combat

By   /   Jun 13, 2016

During Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference, the first ever Final Fantasy XV Xbox One gameplay demo was shown off, and interestingly, people have had varying opinions about it. On one hand, people have really appreciated how far the game has come while on the other, people are saying that the gameplay looked pretty rough.

The demonstration in question was spearheaded by none other than Hajime Tabata, the game director at Square Enix and Matthew Kishimoto, the senior product marketing manager at Square Enix.

Aptly called Trial of Titan, the demo shows off Kishimoto taking on a Titan – and a huge one at that.

One of the things that we picked up from the gameplay was that there were other characters joining the fight with the character in focus although the demo itself presented a single character.

This was later explained by the developers who revealed that the boss fight in question takes place at a point in the game’s story where another faction joins the battle as an independent party.

Some other gameplay features were also shown in the Final Fantasy XV Xbox One gameplay demo like an ability that allows the character to dash forward and sort of like teleport a little distance to advance on the enemy.

We already know that Square Enix has been trying hard to innovate while developing the game and a lot has been changed with regards to the combat system. This was evident from the E3 2016 demo too, as it clearly came off as an action oriented combat.

Oh and by the way, destruction elements in the game also appear to be pretty intricate as we saw the Titan use his gigantic hands to blast through a number of objects on screen.
