EA PLAY: Mass Effect Andromeda Shown in Bits and Pieces

By   /   Jun 12, 2016

EA PLAY has been a rather disappointing show overall, with the highlight being Battlefield 1 and TitanFall 2 from Respawn Entertainment. That was pretty much it.

We were excited to see more of Mass Effect Andromeda after the developer hyped it up earlier this week. However, two years after its official announcement we still are being shown bits and pieces of Andromeda.

BioWare took to stage at EA PLAY and showed us Mass Effect Andromda behind the scenes video. It packed some minor gameplay and in-game footage which was disappointing to see. Not that there was anything wrong with what they showed, it’s just that we were expecting a rather in-depth gameplay preview.

Mass Effect Andromeda features a new set of characters, new story, most amazing visuals, revamped gameplay and much more. Mass Effect Andromeda is being called the most ambitious game in the series and it certainly looks that way.

Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way, where players will lead the fight for a new home in hostile territory—where WE are the aliens—opposed by a deadly indigenous race bent on stopping us.

Experience the freedom to traverse and explore a planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy, rich with discovery. Play as the leader of a squad of military-trained explorers in an intense third-person shooter, with deep progression and customization systems.

This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and player choices throughout the game will ultimately determine our survival in the Andromeda Galaxy.

In most games we feel like a hero, saving the day, doing a good deed, taking the moral high ground but in the new Mass Effect game, we’ll be taking over Andromeda from its inhabitants.

The title is set for release sometime next year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
