Minecraft Sales Go Beyond 106 Million Units; 40M+ Monthly Players
How big is Minecraft really? We know that the world is larger than our Earth, but did you know that the number of people who have bought it has also gone beyond 100 million? Mojang has just revealed the major achievement in terms of Minecraft sales as well as the monthly average users.
In a little over four years since the game was released, the total number of units sold by Mojang has risen to 106,859,714, that is just 140K short of 107 million units!
Current Minecraft Sales Make You As Big As 12th Most Populous Nation of the World!

Not only that, the publisher has also revealed that the every month “over 40 million” people play the game. That is enough number of people to make a human chain large enough to circle the entire world one and a half times!
The most interesting bit is that pace of Minecraft sales has also picked up this year. On average a total of 53000 copies of the game are sold each day ever since 2016 has started!
