After having been available on PC for three years and Xbox One for two months, Cryptic Studios is now releasing the Neverwinter PS4 version sometime later in the summer period of this year.

The PS4 version of the game was all but confirmed back in July last year, but the news was later retracted. Now, Alex Monney the Communications Manager at publisher Perfect World Entertainment has announced it officially.

Neverwinter PS4 Version Gets First Details, Summer Release Window

According to Monney, the free to play Dungeons & Dragons based massively multiplayer online roleplaying game is going to bring Tiamat, Demogorgon, Orcus, Valindra and other enemies to locations like Icewind Dale and Underdark.

The developers have also shared the announcement trailer as well as s short synopsis of what you can expect from Neverwinter PS4 version. The trailer is above, and the description can be read below:

Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMORPG that transports players into the Forgotten Realms, where they will explore a fully realized experience based on the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. When Neverwinter arrives on PlayStation 4, it will feature all existing content from the base game, including eight playable classes and nine expansions worth of content, giving you hundreds of quests to play through.

The best takeaway in this is that the Neverwinter PS4 version is truly going to be free to play meaning you will not even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to get involved.

Check back with us later for more on the game as well as the expected release date since right now all we know is that Cryptic Studios is going to release the game in summer 2016 with no specific dates being mentioned.
