The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Capture the Castle Quest Guide
This is a turning point, a major achievement in the game. So before you dig into this we suggest you take on any side quests and other activities that you might have left out for later because they might not be accessible after you have started this quest.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Capture the Castle Quest Walkthrough
Needless to say, this one is going to test your mettle so you should at least be somewhere around level 40 by the time you start Capture the Castle quest. Also, once this mission starts you won’t be able to shop anything so fill up the inventory as much as you want now, key items being bombs, potions, alchemy items, and repair items.
The point of meeting at the nearest signpost is where you should go and meditate until midnight, after which a cutscene with Damien will start. This leads to a group of guards attacking you, take care of the archer first and then the enemy with a two handed weapon that comes in the first group as well as with the next wave.
After you have dealt with them using dodges and signs, take on the next pack of guards at the next waypoint alongside Roderick. This guy is level 47 but you can beat him with a combination of attacking and guarding if he is alone.
His interrogation leads the way to the next target. As you go there, make sure you deal with the enemies you spot on the left side including the two archers. This will result in more enemies joining the fight, but carry on as quickly as possible so as to not get overwhelmed by the number of enemies.
When you get to the search zone, reinforcements for your side arrive and a cutscene starts after they are done with some skirmishes.
This cutscene is going to add a lot more value to the quest, if you ask me, but we won’t spoil it for you here. Just keep in mind that make wise choices when you are conversating before the next quest begins i.e. The Night of Long Fangs.
