In today’s video, we discuss something subjective – are video game remasters good or bad? And...
The Long and Tiring Final Fantasy XV Development Period
It took ten excruciating years full of the “Final Fantasy Disease” as we waited for the Final Fantasy XV development period to come to a close, but finally we are closing in on the actual release date of the game.
Undoubtedly, it is a make or break game for the series and developers have also been worried about it becoming a “dying IP”, but we have come a long way now and hopefully when it releases in September, FFXV will really be the ultimate Final Fantasy that Square Enix boasts of.
Final Fantasy XV Development Period’s Ups and Downs
The development period has not been free from difficulties too, even at the smallest levels there has been a problem of deep rooted understandings of the franchise which varied even among the developers.
In the video above, the developers sit down to talk pretty openly about a number of things that they had to go through while millions upon millions of fans waited.
While they discuss some of the areas they consider important, and the areas that were more complicated, the video itself takes you down the memory lane. You even see the Final Fantasy games from decades ago before finally getting chunks of gameplay from the latest.
Not only that, the video (which lasts over eight minutes) also highlights the visual quality and how it has changed through the Final Fantasy XV development period. You can clearly compare videos from years ago to the most recent clips that have been shared by Square Enix.
Final Fantasy XV releases finally on September 30, and since it has been one hell of a ride so far, we are hoping the same continues after the release too.
