Deus Ex Mankind Divided Trailer Shows Mechanical Apartheid After DE:HR

By   /   May 26, 2016

We are pretty confident that Deus Ex Mankind Divided is going to be perfect, we even have 10 reasons why, and maybe the 11th is going to be the rich setting in which the game plays out. Wondering what’s so good about that? Well, “Mechanical Apartheid” for starters, which has been recently highlighted in a new trailer that Eidos Montreal has released.

The trailer in question is basically your intro to Mechanical Apartheid that has taken over the Deus Ex universe after the era of Deux Ex Human Revolution. The “golden era” is gone, and now the mechanically-augmented people are being isolated.

We know some of that already, but the new Deus Ex Mankind Divided trailer takes us on a visual as well as textual stroll into the world after 2027, explaining how the so called human restoration act has caused a rift based on hatred and jealousy between the augmented people and the “naturals.”

In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking people. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed. In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws. The most notable of these laws is the highly controversial “Human Restoration Act,” aimed at isolating “Augs” and keeping them away from “Naturals.”

We have embedded the trailer above so that you can watch it yourself, and if it impresses you enough you can go and preorder the game right away as the preload is available now. Do check out the Deus Ex Mankind Divided Collector’s Edition too, if you want something even more lucrative.
