Uncharted 4 First Week Sales Almost 3 Million; Sony Confirms
Uncharted 4 first week sales surpass 2.7 million, according to Sony Computer Entertainment. Naughty Dog’s final Uncharted game had been received well by both fans and critics since day one.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End released on May 10 for PlayStation 4. An exclusive title reaching almost 3 million in its first week is no small matter, many multi platforms games have had a hard time even crossing a million in the first 7 seven days.
Uncharted 4 is a beautifully written culmination to Nathan Drake’s adventures. The perfect send-off any action hero can ask for. Naughty Dog has once again created magic and we couldn’t be more excited to see what they do next.
Millions of fans around the world have already joined Nathan Drake on his final treasure hunt. In the first week alone, I’m happy to report that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End exceeded 2.7 million units in global sales*. For the North American region, Uncharted 4 is the fastest-selling PS4 first party title to-date.
The number mentioned include worldwide sell-through data for both Blu-ray Disc sell-thru quantities and digital sales as of May 16, 2016.
Uncharted 4 managed to stay on top of the UK charts as well, beating Doom, Homefront The Revolution and more.
Our reviewer noted:
Simply put, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a masterpiece, and easily the best entry in the Uncharted franchise. It’s the grandest of all finales that does more than justice to an amazing series of games.
Have you played Uncharted 4? Do you think it does justice to the series?
