Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Online Services Are Down
Seems like Activision is shutting down online services for Call Of Duty titles on Wii, as players have been reporting that online servers for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex are down.
However, is yet unknown that if this is a part of a temporary outage or a permanent shutdown as Activision has released no official statement regarding the issue.
Many of you would remember that almost two years ago Nintendo WiFi service was shutdown by Nintendo Network which runs most of the Nintendo services for the current generation. The shutdown of Nintendo WiFi was due to the shutdown of multiplayer services by GameSpy.
Not every game on Wii used Nintendo WiFi for their multiplayer component, as developers could use their own servers as did the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex.
It comes as no surprise that Activision is starting to disable online services for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex as Wii have been mostly inactive for quite some time.
According to the source, Call Of Duty: Black Ops online servers are also offline as well, which means Modern Warfare 3 is only title playable on Wii as of now.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex is a Wii port of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare. The game was released alongside Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on November 10 2009, and the game was ported by Treyarch.
