(Update) Unravel Developer Signs Deal With EA for Its Next Project
Update: As we were hoping, EA has confirmed to IGN that this new project is a sequel to Unravel.
Original Story: Unravel developer, Coldwood, released its puzzle platformer earlier this year. It was received really well and highlighted the capabilities of Coldwood, a small but passionate studio.
EA published Unravel and helped the studio get its game out with maximum exposure. Now, EA has announced that the company is extending its partnership with Coldwood studio.
Coldwood’s next project is once again going to be published by EA. There are no details available about the game for the time being.
At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners. Which is why I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve signed a new agreement with Coldwood to work with them on their next project.
We don’t have any details to share right now, but we look forward to sharing more when the time is right. We could not be more excited to continue working with Martin Sahlin and the great team at Coldwood, and to see the next adventure they bring to life.
Unravel released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It was shown at last’s E3 and its main character Yarney became an instant hit among fans. Twitter was ablaze soon after the conference ended, fans wanted to know how they can create their own Yarny.
Coldwood’s next game is expected to maintain the same level of creativity the freshness as Unravel. Could they create sequel to Unravel? Possibly.
