EA is Open to Battlefield Remastered If Fans Are In
EA DICE is currently working on Battlefield 1 but is open to Battlefield remastered games in the future. Previous games of the series can be ported to current-gen consoles and PC. According to EA, if players would like to see Modern Warfare like remasters, they can’t see why they shouldn’t make it.
With that said, they aren’t releasing a remastered this time with Battlefield 1.
I wouldn’t say never. We’re not doing it right now, we’re focused on Battlefield 1 – but if we think the fans want that I see no reason we couldn’t.
Battlefield games already look spectacular so remasters would only boost their visual fidelity to pure eye-candy. Probably the most suitable candidate for Battlefield remaster is Battlefield Bad Company and Bad Company 2.
EA should definitely consider bundling these games or at least one of them with the Battlefield game that follows Battlefield 1.
Speaking of Battlefield 1, the game was revealed recently during a live stream by EA DICE. It is set during World War 1 and takes players on a journey around the world, taking control of different characters.
We’ll visit the ottoman empire, Russia, Germany and many other locations across the globe. More details about the game will be shared before and at EA PLAY.
As you may know already, EA is skipping E3 and hosting its own event. Their own event will run in LA from June 12-14 at Club Nokia @ LA Live and in London June 12 at The Mermaid.
EA will also be showing TitanFall 2, FIFA 17 and some unannounced titles.
