Dark Souls 3 Update 1.04.1 Rolled Back For Causing Freezes
The latest Dark Souls 3 update had been released on last Friday, but soon after it came out, countless complaints about the game being freezed were heard. As a result, From Sotfware has removed the patch i.e. rolled it back.
The developers say that the patch has only been removed temporarily. They will look into the bug that was causing the game to freeze on PC, remove it and then released the fixed update for users who are still playing the game on PC.
Dark Souls 3 Update Removed
From Software has explained the problem and also clarified that you have nothing to worry if you had been affected by the bug that came with the patch and experienced something you could have been penalized for.
The patch has been removed temporarily to fix the freeze issues. We hope to reinstate the patch ASAP. If you fall victim to one of the bugs previously fixed, don’t worry, you won’t be penalized. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more info. Thank you for your understanding.
While releasing the Dark Souls 3 Update From Software had said that “we have heard your concerns about being victims of deviant behavior while playing online multiplayer, we have released a patch solving some of the issues you can encounter.”
This was accompanied by a list of changes that the patch was going to make or issues it was going to address. Since update 1.06.1 is a smaller patch, the list only had three points:
- Being sent immediately to your world
- Being sent to the Firelink Shrine
- Being changed in full Dragon Body Status
Now that the update has been rolled back, users will have to wait for another patch in order to get rid of these issues and also to get a smooth game without the freezes to bother their play.
