E3 2016 Sony conference

The E3 2016 Sony conference has finally gotten a date and time for when it will be at the Electronic Gaming Expo this June. While Sony hasn’t made a big deal out of it like Microsoft has, they’ll have to have a strong lineup to compete with what Microsoft says is going to be their best year ever.

The conference will be at the standard date and time, considering how they’ve been at other E3 events. It will be closing on June 13 at 9 PM Eastern Time, the day before the actual trade expo starts. Microsoft’s own E3 conference will be taking place in at 9:30 Pacific Time, the opposite in every way.

While Sony has yet to say what will be a part of the E3 2016 Sony conference, the Playstation 4 has a lot of games that will most likely get new trailers or gameplay peeks during the event. Among them are a lot of high-priority releases, such as Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, No Man’s Sky, Outlast 2, Final Fantasy XV, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, and more.

All of these are highly anticipated titles, and for all we know there could be even more coming out (we may even get sneak peeks of Battlefield One and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at either conference) that we don’t know about, not to mention all of the announcements that will undoubtedly be coming.

We may even get updates on the various remakes that will be coming out, such as Final Fantasy 7 remastered (or at least the first thirty-hour chunk) and Shenmue 3 (possibly). Sony had a good few years at the last few E3 conferences, such as announcing FF 7 Remastered officially, bringing Suikoden and Suikoden 2 to modern consoles, and bringing Yakuza 5 overseas from Japan to North America.

Anyway, we’ll have to see what the E3 2016 Sony conference brings. On the upside at least we don’t have long to wait.
