CoroCoro Teases More Pokémon Sun And Moon News
Since the starter Pokemon for the new generation of Pokemon games (Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon) were unveiled earlier this week, the internet’s been going crazy for any other sort of Pokemon Sun and Moon news that might give us more information about the game. CoroCoro, a Japanese manga magazine that also often does a lot of Pokemon news, has teased that they’ll have more news about the games for us next month.
Pokemon Sun and Moon will be taking place in the brand new Alola Region, which appears to be based off of Hawaii in yet another departure from the old Pokemon regions. The last two regions (not including Alola) have been based on various other countries, with France for Kalos, and Unova for the New York area.
Various structures in the Kalos region, such as the Parfum Palace (a parallel of the Palace of Versailles in France) and Lumiose City’s Prism Tower, based on the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The central city of the Unova region, Castelia City, is itself based off of New York City, and even includes a pastiche of the Statue of Liberty in the form of Liberty Island out in the city’s bay.
While we don’t know what most of the Pokemon Sun and Moon news will be, we do know one thing. A leaked picture has shown us that the new issue will talk about the upcoming new Pokemon animated movie, entitled “Volcanion and the Ingenious Magearna.” It will focus on two legendary Pokemon in the Kalos region, the Fire/Water type Volcanion and the Steel/Fairy type Magearna.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are slated to be releasing on the Nintendo 3DS on November 18 in Japan and North America, and will be coming out in Europe on November 23. In the meantime, we’ll have to just wait until CoroCoro actually puts out next month’s issue so that we can get all of the juicy Pokemon goodness.
