CFO of EA has confirmed during the investors conference that Star Wars Battlefront VR will release for PlayStation 4 in 2016, and the game will be developed on Frostbite Engine. He said that Frostbite is their unrivaled game engine and all EA games released or about to release will be developed on Frostbite.

The new Battlefront VR will be available for PlayStation VR sometime this year. PlayStation VR is hitting retail in October for $399, over 100 devs are working on PlayStation VR content.

During the investors conference CFO of EA, Blake Jorgensen, also revealed that Battlefront is coming next year and confirmed that it will have bigger and better maps compared to the current games, and will also feature content from the new movies. He said the Battlefront 2 will release next year, however, we have no idea that he meant 2017 or the next fiscal year

EA plans to release new Star wars game every year for the next few years. Jorgensen further confirmed that the next Star Wars action game developed by Dead Space Studio, Visceral, and Motive will also release next year, but again he did not mention that the game will be coming out in 2017 or the fiscal year. The company’s fiscal year already started in April.
