It is never a good feeling when you are told that a game you were waiting for has been delayed all of a sudden, which is why things like these are often in the news. We do not have a clear confirmation yet but it seems at least three of Square Enix games might have been delayed.

The games in question are Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake as well as NieR: Automata.

Square Enix has not previously assured that Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake both are going to be released within the financial year ending March 2017, however, they have dated NieR Automata with an expected 2016 release (although no specific date was mentioned) in the past.

Now, when the publisher was outlining their future plans during the company’s latest earnings call, all three of these games were nowhere to be found in the list of game releases that they expect to make in this financial year.

One might think that Square Enix simply skipped the part about game releases but that is not the case. They did provide a list of sorts for the releases that are coming our way and it includes World of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, as well as Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 version.

Rest of the games mentioned in the earnings call are those that have a clear release date already, like Final Fantasy XV, Deus Ex Mankind Divided and more.

With this is mind, it looks like Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and NieR: Automata are all going to release after March 2017 has ended.
