The Division Sentry Gear Changes Are Coming in the Next Update: Ubisoft Community Manager
The Division Sentry gear changes are coming because in its current state the whole set is a little over powered. There is definitely some balancing needed and Ubisoft is going to make that happen.
There are different pieces of Sentry Gear that give you additional bonuses and is targeted toward Designated Marksmen and Snipers. However, Sentry’s Call gear that gives you “Stalker” bonus and adds 15% more damage to headshots should technically be applied to Sniper Rifles only if the whole set is targeted to Snipers and Marksmen. Unfortunately, it adds 15% additional damage to all weapon types.
The Stalker Bonus does the following:
Headshots mark the enemy, increasing the damage inflicted on the target by 15% for duration of 10 seconds each.
This is a problem when entering the Dark Zone because most of the primary weapons in there are SMGs. First three rounds that hit the target will give 45% additional damage and then you can on to empty the entire mag.
If the set is intended for Snipers and Marksmen like Ubisoft claims then it should make proper balancing changes and nerf it from the root.
The additional bonus damage should only be applied to Sniper Rifles and Scout Rifles/DMRs.
Future Division updates should nerf Stalker Bonus, according to Ubisoft’s community manager Hamish Bode.
The Division is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
