Treyarch Announces Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP Week
Since the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Eclipse downloadable content pack will be releasing on the Xbox One and PC on May 19, Treyarch has decided to start off another Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP week in preparation for people to play maps with.
The double XP week will be starting today, May 10, and will be going until May 13, this Friday. The events will start and end at 10 AM, Pacific Daylight Time, and will be available to play on the Playstation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC.
In the Double XP Week, you will be able to get double XP on regular multiplayer and the zombie mode, and also double XP for your weapons.
The Eclipse pack was released on the Playstation 4 on April 19 and has yet to be released on Xbox One and PC, but will not be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in order to persuade players that still want to play on last-gen consoles to move forward.
The previous Black Ops 3 DLC, Awakening, was the last Black Ops 3 DLC that would be given to last-gen consoles.
The Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP week will also be dependent on group play; in order to get the XP, you have to be playing in a party of two or more people.
The Eclipse DLC will be bringing a large amount of new content to the game. This will include four new maps (Spire, Rift, Knockout, and Verge) and a new Zombies map, called Zetsubou no Shima. The zombie map will be a return to the map Shi no Numa from Call of Duty: World At War, where you fought zombies from the Imperial Japanese Army.
Eclipse being released for the Xbox One and PC is still nine days away, so until then players will just have to be patient and, in the meantime, enjoy the Double XP that they’ll get over the next three days.
