Battlefield 1 Campaign Will Focus on Stories of Different Soldiers

Battlefield 1 campaign will focus on more than one characters. The developers say that the game will focus on stories of different characters.

Battlefield 1 campaign will take us on a trip across the globe during World War 1. Players will take control of not one, but multiple characters during this era. DICE isn’t focusing on telling the story of a single character, devs will focus on stories of different characters from around the world.

According to DICE Daniel Berlin, lead game designer at EA’s DICE studio:

Our single-player will focus on different stories and different personalities across the world.

Rumor has it that Battlefield 1 campaign will feature 6 chapters and if each chapter tells the story of a character, that adds up to 6 different characters for Battlefield 1.

But as always, the primary focus will be on the game’s multiplayer. 64 players multiplayer is coming back and players will be able to battle at sea, air and have boots on the ground.

The entire World War 1 era of Battlefield 1 isn’t based on alternative history as many originally thought. Instead, weapons and environment will be authentic and everything we saw in the trailer actually existed at the time.

It’s definitely rooted in history. There’s no alternate mix of anything else. All the stuff you see is equipment that was available. All the vehicles you see were available at this time.

..for us gameplay is king. We need to make sure the vehicles and weapons are fun to use. With the variety of stuff that’s available, we can push and keep the pace you see in previous Battlefield games. We can also deliver the kind of rock-paper-scissor gameplay you’re familiar with. It’s a good fit. I know that’s surprising to a lot of people, but it’s been so fun to be on this journey and learn so much.

Battlefield 1 will release on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
