The Witcher 3 patch 1.20 changelog

A few days ago CD Projekt Red teased that The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine expansion was going to be as big as all islands of Skellige combined, however, they kept us waiting on word about the release date of the expansion.

Now, it looks like Steam might have inadvertently revealed when the developers are going to let us get our hands on it.

The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Release Date

It has been known previously that the last major expansion for the title is going to bring its new missions, ladies and enemies to us before E3 2016, but now the exact date seems to be May 30, 2016.

Although CD Projekt Red has not made an official announcement for this, the Steam page for the Blood and Wine expansion has the release date on it now.

Do keep in mind that rumors of other release dates have also been circling the internet in the past, for instance a June 7 release was claimed by Polish website last month. However, CDPR denied the rumors outright.

So far they have not commented on the date mentioned by Steam which suggests that may be they think it is time to let everyone know.

That being said, The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine is being regarded as “better than the base game” because of the content it is expected to bring. Here’s an overview of the setting:

Blood and Wine, a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

It is also expected to bring characters from the books to life.
