Leak: Battlefield 5 to be Set During World War 1, Releases October 18

It seems details regarding Battlefield 5 have already leaked ahead of DICE’s official reveal of the game scheduled for later today.

According to a leaked Xbox Store image, the next Battlefield or Battlefield 5 will take place during World War I or an alternate-version of the said war.

The leaked image – attached below – shows a soldier equipped with a 20th century pistol in one hand and a spiked club in the other hand – with a zeppelin (also used during World War 1) flying overhead.

While we cannot confirm the authenticity of the leaked Battlefield 5 image at the moment, but if turned out to be true; the next Battlefield will be the opposite of recently announced Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which takes place in distant future and pits players in space warfare.

In addition to the leaked Xbox Store image, according to game’s promotional details shared on Reddit; the next Battlefield will be called Battlefield 1 and will release on Oct. 18, 2016.

In relevant Battlefield news, DICE has already released the game’s teaser trailer which is no doubt way ahead of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer. You can check it out yourself by heading over to the post.

As mentioned earlier, DICE and Electronic Arts will officially reveal the next game later today!
