Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 F2P Version Launches on May 16
If you’re one of those guys that likes anime girls in skimpy outfits playing on sunlit beaches and wrestling, then we’ve got a treat(?) for you. Word has come out that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3’s free-to-play version will be coming out on May 16.
The game will be free to play and will allow you to play most of the modes, but you’ll have to purchase the remaining eight characters in the game, along with the Casino area, via DLC. Each piece of DLC will cost around 1,200 yen on the Playstation 4, or 1,100 yen on the Playstation Vita, which are the only platforms the game will be available on.
The Casino area can also be purchased for a more substantial 2,000 yen. And if you’re in North America, don’t worry about the price: that’s only around 20 dollars.
Until you buy the other characters, you’ll be exclusively playing as the character Kasumi on the beach resort island that normally serves as the game’s setting.
After you buy the other eight characters you can also buy outfits and more. And, if you decide you want to buy the full retail version, all of your progress in this game will carry over.
If you want to buy the full retail version, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 can be purchased for the Playstation 4 or the Playstation Vita at the website Play-Asia, where you can buy the Asian version with English subtitles.
And if you’re only mildly curious as to how Dead or Alive plays, then you don’t have to worry. Since it’s free to play, you can just download it to your Playstation 4 or your Playstation Vita, try it out, and if you don’t like it you can just delete it.
