EA DICE Dev Apologised for Calling Infinite Warfare Graphics Ugly
EA DICE Video & Media Editor Roland Smedberg insulted rival Activision’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in the name of sharing his opinion. His comments was highly unprofessional, saying “How Quaint! Those cute little free-cam shots, precious 2010 graphics and grade school editing! Quaint”
In his opinion, Infinite Warfare Graphics were not up to speed as he’s been spoiled after working on Battlefront and its photorealism.
He wasn’t the only one as David Goldfarb and others weighed in similar comments, taking jabs at Infinite Warfare trailer.
Realizing his mistake, Smedberg issued a public apology on Twitter:
“Managed to go 6 years without utterly failing at Twitter. Last night I did. Didn’t mean for shit storm, a stupid mistake and I apologize.”
“Last couple of months my resting heart rate has been 62. Last 24 hours it’s been 85. Note to self, refrain from stupid and immature rants.”
“There’s a way to spread your personal opinions and being immature or disrespectful are not it. My first, and last, slip up. Apologies.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was insulted by some other industry personnel as well but they are yet to apologize for calling Infinite Warfare graphics ugly and using the opportunity to promote Battlefield’s Friday reveal.
