Dark Souls Online Still has Issues, Not Fully Operational
Dark Souls online servers were shut down recently for no apparent reason and when the community pointed it out, From Software came to the rescue and fixed the problem; or so we thought they did.
There are still complaints of Dark Souls online servers not being fully functional. A large part of the community still plays Dark Souls even though the third installment in the series is out. Its servers not working properly is an issue that needs to be fixed and deserves attention from From Software.
One of the players sent out an email to Namco support and got reply saying that the publisher is still looking into it.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are aware of the current Dark Souls: Prepare To Die matchmaking service and it has been escalated to our internal teams to be looked into further.
At this time it does appear that the matchmaking service is not working properly, however, rest assured that we are currently looking into resolving this as soon as possible (unfortunately, we haven’t yet received a timeframe for when this might be). We apologize for any inconvenience in this matter and appreciate your patience as our internal teams work on resolving this.
Dark Souls online servers will be resurrected soon but for the time being they are still not fully functional. We’ll let you know as soon as there are any updates on the story.
For the time being, try playing Dark Souls 3 or Dark Souls 2 online if you own a copy.
