New Trials Game Could Be Called Trials of the Blood Dragon After Leaks Surface

It seems Ubisoft is working on a new Trials game or at least a Trials Fusion expansion called Trials Blood Dragon, according to a leak by the Taiwanese ratings board.

The ratings board was seen posting ratings for the game, which were spotted by Twitter user lifelower.

The rating, which is in Mandarin, listed the game as published by Ubisoft – like all previous Trials titles – and suggests that it will be arriving for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The rating and remaining list seems to have since been deleted.

However, keeping in mind that Trials Fusion was also released on the said platforms, it is possible that Trials: Blood Dragon is merely an expansion for the 2014 platform racing videogame.

Interestingly, the literal translation can also read “Trials of the Blood Dragon.” Blood Dragon sounds like a strange name for a racing platformer, but the new Trials game could very well be a fusion of the classic Trials gameplay along with map designs inspired by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The Far Cry franchise after all is owned by Ubisoft.

This isn’t the first time Trials is going to add a bit of oddity that seems out of place in a racing platformer. Trials Fusion’s Awesome Level Max DLC also saw some strange elements, such as turning a biker into a cat riding a unicorn after a certain combo.

If Trials Blood Dragon is a new Trials game that indeed is a mix of the popular racing gameplay features of the series and the contents of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, it would certainly make for a very intriguing addition to the franchise.
