Gears of War 4 Horde Mode Heavy Class Guide

We have some new Gears of War 4 Hi Res screenshots showing absolutely amazing level of detail of its characters, weapons, and enemies.

Gears of War 4 is being developed using the Unreal Engine 4, a tool that The Coalition has plenty of experience with. Previous Gears games have used the predecessors of the same Engine and helped bring out its potential. Gears of War 4 will do the same for Unreal Engine 4.

The story mode of Gears of War 4 is running at 30FPS and even while facing hardware limitations, you can see just how visually impressive this game is. There are rumors of a PC version so we may see even better visuals if Gears of War 4 PC ever happens.

Gears of War 4 beta was held recently on Xbox One and Digitalfoundry did a comparison between its single player campaign and multiplayer modes. MP runs at a solid 60FPS as promised by Microsoft but 60FPS came at the cost of visual fidelity.

There are notable upgrades compared to previous games though; Shadows are smooth, explosions give a kick back, screen space reflections are smartly used and look terrific.

Gears of War 4 will release on October 11 for Xbox One and recently we spotted an Ultimate Edition that will release with the game base, Season Pass, and will give players early access to the game.

The Ultimate Edition was first seen in New Zealand but later its listing also appeared in US. New Zealanders can pick it up for $149.99 while players in the US can grab it for $99.99.

Head over to the official Xbox Store to pre order the Ultimate Edition.
