You Can’t Buy GTA V From Amazon if You’re Not a Prime Member
Can’t buy GTA V from Amazon? You’re not alone and here’s what’s wrong.
Amazon has expanded its list of exclusive content to add some games to Prime Members only club. This means that Amazon has essentially blocked non Prime members from buying certain games.
Consumers spotted the change with the PS4 version of GTA V, Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. PS4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 16, Far Cry Primal, Battlefield Hardline are also in the list.
If you try to purchase these items from Amazon but are not a Prime Member you will see a message saying identifying the item as Prime-Exclusive. The exact number of games available through Prime only isn’t clear but we have a feeling this initiative will expand.
Videogamer got in touch with Amazon that provided the following statement:
One of the many benefits of Amazon Prime is access to exclusive selection on a number of great products. Customers who are not Prime members can sign-up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, or they can purchase those items from a Marketplace seller
The good news is that you aren’t blocked from buying the items from third party sellers. This could help boost Prime members on Amazon. If you wish to become an Amazon Prime Member it would cost you $10.99 per month. You can cancel your subscription anytime.
