Bravely Second sequel

Bravely Second Special Moves are a type of very powerful abilities that can be customized to have various effects. These Special Moves can change battles almost instantly. However, they are not available to a player from the start.

Bravely Second Special Moves and Special Parts

To make a Special Move available, a player has to carry out specific tasks to trigger activation. There are four levels of Special Moves, with each level granting access to a more powerful Special Move, provided you have unlocked that respective Special Move at the R&D Labs at your Moon Base.

This guide will explain everything you need to know about Special Parts to customize Special Moves, how to unlock them, Special Moves for each weapon type, how to acquire them, and everything else related.

Bravely Second Special Parts

Once you acquire a Special Move, you can customize it. A special move is made out of multiple parts, called ‘Set Parts.’ These parts can be swapped in and around using Special Parts, which are acquired by upgrading the Moon Base (more on this later).

Attack Type
The Attack Type of your Special Move is the first part you can customize. You can add Elemental Effects to your move, Power Boosts, Enemy Type slaying effect, and even Status Ailment to this Set Part.

Recovery Type
The second Set Part is Recovery Type. This allows your special move to replenish different stats, such as HP Recovery, Status Recovery, MP Recovery, or gaining additional BP.

Enemy Weakening
This Set Part will mainly allow you to weaken enemies through debuffs. These include Special Parts associated with reducing Turn Duration, Weaken Statuses, Reducing Status Resistances, and Reducing Elemental Resistances.

Status Enhancement
Status Enhancements are self-buffs while using Special Moves. They often tend to buff your entire party, though are not as effective as other Special Move parts. They include increasing Turn Duration, Enhancing Status, Increasing Status Resistance, and Increasing Elemental Resistance.
