Horizon Zero Dawn Development Budget

Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn delayed to 2017, according to a new rumor surrounding the game. An industry insider broke the news which is yet to be confirmed by the studio or Sony representatives.

Horizon Zero Dawn is an action RPG that was announced back at E3 2015. It tells the story of a different kind of apocalypse. Here is a quick look at Horizon Zero Dawn.

This is the first unique project Guerilla Games is doing after the release of Killzone back in 2004. Back at E3 2015 and in the following months we were given extensive details and gameplay videos showing a very well polished and near complete title, at least it looked that way.

Its delay could be due to devs needing more time to sort out some issues or further polish the game to make it more presentable. Since this is a major project for GG and isn’t Killzone, it is only natural that developers would want to take as much time as they need to create something spectacular.

It would fit with a previous comment from Mark Norris, the game’s executive producer:

The reality is that we are putting together a new IP, are making a new franchise for the first time in 10 years and what we really want to do is improve the experience for a player.

More news should arrive by the time we get to E3. If I were to assume, I would say Sony will announce a release date at E3 with or without a delay. Anyways, we should know more in the coming weeks.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a PlayStation 4 exclusive and for the time being we are expecting it to release sometime later this year.
