Fable Legends officially shut down

Fable Legends officially shut down and players who were participating in its closed beta are being offered refunds for any in-game items they bought.

Some of you may have already received refunds so do check your Microsoft account. If you are yet to receive your refund then be patient and check back again soon. Lionhead will send notification messages to all players once refunds are complete.

Lionhead thanked players for their participation and said that all stories must come to an end.

All of us here at Lionhead Studios would like to thank you for participating in the closed beta and being a part of the game’s development. All stories have to end eventually, but the memories of Heroic triumphs and Villainous plots will last forever. Thank you for your support – you are all Legends!

Fable Legends was cancelled suddenly almost a month ago which came as a very unpleasant surprise. No one saw it coming as only a few days prior to its cancellation, Lionhead was sending out closed beta invites and seemed excited for the game’s release.

There are rumors that the project may be revived as Microsoft was spotted asking members of the development team if they would be interested in working on the project as indies.
