These are exciting times for Sniper Elite fans and are about get more exciting if you ever thought of a VR version of Sniper Elite. Tim Jones, Head of Creative at Rebellion commented on a VR version and said they do consider the possibility of them working on a Sniper Elite 4 VR but even if they are actually working it, Jones won’t be able to talk about it.
In an interview, Tim Jones said:
We think about everything and all possibilities, that’s our job. Exactly what we do in the future, if we did have plans about it, I couldn’t tell you about it, I’m afraid. But you are right, it would be exciting.
Sniper Elite 4 VR will definitely be amazing but not for the weak of heart. The game is pretty brutal and gory as it is and by adding virtual reality you take things to a whole new level with a game like this.
In Sniper Elite 4, the trademark bullet kill-cam is making a comeback and it is better than ever. You can also see X-ray effects of the damage you do via melee attacks in Sniper Elite 4. Another interesting element is the slow motion carnage caused by explosives you set up across the map.
Speaking of maps, the smallest map is Sniper Elite 4 is 3x larger than the biggest map in Sniper Elite 3. Meaning you will a bigger area to cover, more enemies, and vantage points.
