Do keep in mind you will need wireless DualShock 4, a USB cable, an SEN account, and a 12 Mbps internet connection apart from the PS4 with update 3.50 and a computer with the following specifications.

System Requirements

Windows PC:

  • OS X El Capitan
  • Intel Core i5-520M Processor 2.40 GHz or faster
  • 40 MB or more of available storage
  • 2 GB or more of RAM
  • USB port

So after you have downloaded the app, install it and enable PS4 PC Remote Play in Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings. After this, choose the system as primary for the PS4 from Settings > PlayStation™Network/Account Management > Activate as Your Primary PS4 > Activate.

After this, all you need to do is turn on your PS4, connect a controller to the computer with a cable and hit Start on the PS4 Remote Play app. You will be prompted to sign in, do that and you are good to go.

You can also set up your PS4 to allow PS4 PC Remote Play even in rest mode by following these instructions:

To start Remote Play while your PS4™ system is in rest mode, select (Settings) > [Power Save Settings] > [Set Features Available in Rest Mode]. Then select the checkboxes for [Stay Connected to the Internet] and [Enable Turning On PS4 from Network].

It is a really good idea to allow remote play on PC and Mac since it is available on other platforms already. Will you be playing on your computer?
