Quantum Break Preorders Suggest it is a “Mega Hit,” Says Aaron Greenberg
The review embargo on Quantum Break was broken yesterday although the embargo was supposed to be actually lifted today, and we also talked about the first stellar review the game has gotten. So now that the game is about to get tons of reviews, the Quantum Break preorders are also going to get a bump upwards.
But this doesn’t mean that the game’s preorders have been less than impressive, it is actually the opposite.
Quantum Break Preorders are Well Ahead of Plans
Aaron Greenberg, the Head of Xbox Games Marketing at Microsoft, has revealed that the game is being preordered well ahead of their own plans. He went on to say that the “old school approach” for marketing that Microsoft took has allowed it to be a potential “mega hit.”
Not only that, retailers have been upping the number of copies they want in stock for the game:
It’s been great. Preorders are really strong; they’re performing well ahead of plan. Retailers are continuing to increase their orders for the game, which we track and watch. Tomorrow [April 1], the reviews hit, so we’ll see how they come in. We’ve been playing the game; we know it’s a great game. Fingers crossed, but I think we’re sitting on a mega hit.
While the game is supposed to release exclusively on Xbox One on April 5, 2016, there still are four days for you to decide whether you want to buy the game or not. Although we would not even question that once.
