Starcraft 2 Releases Patch 3.2.0, Brings First Nova Covert Ops Mission Pack
As reported on earlier this month, the first Starcraft 2 Nova Covert Ops mission pack releases today along with the Patch 3.2.0. The pack comes with some new screenshots as well as a trailer that can be viewed here.
Here is the official description revealed alongside the patch:
In the first of the three mission packs of Nova Covert Ops you will assume the role of Nova Terra. As Nova, you’ll strategize against the Defenders of Man and help Emperor Valerian Mengsk restore peace and unity to the Dominion. You’ll be met with unique challenges that will require you to customize your equipment, select special army upgrades, and utilize powerful psionic ghost abilities to work your way through each mission to victory. All three Nova mission packs are expected to release on or before December 1, 2016. You do not need to own StarCraft or StarCraft II to jump into Nova Covert Ops
Mission Pack One will include stealth elements, gaining enemy intel and piloting certain vehicles in the single player campaign. Customizing your loadout as well as your units and equipment will play a big role, with many missions requiring a differing approach to the last. Brute force will not be enough during this mission pack and Blizzard are promising that you will face challenges that you won’t have faced before in Starcraft, with a higher emphasis on finesse and strategic gameplay.
The patch also brings a new co-op mission titled ‘Chains of Ascension’ where you must “help Ji’nara fight off Amon’s champion by supporting her with your troops. You and your ally must help her conquer the mysterious challenge or face defeat at the hands of the powerful psionic Hybrids.”
