Turok and Turok 2 Planned for Release on Xbox One
Originally releasing as Turok: Dinosaur Hunter for the Nintendo 64 back in 1997, Turok has spawned several sequels and a remake in the years following.
The first-person shooter set on a different planet inhabited by dinosaurs has ranged many consoles and generations but the adventure may be returning to the latest generation soon after a recent Tweet from Night Dive Studios.
Currently working on the System Shock Remaster, Night Dive Studios responded to a fan’s question about Turok confirming that they are planning to release a remaster of both Turok and Turok 2 on Xbox One only:

Turok Remastered was released on Steam at the end of last year, with enhanced visuals as expected, so Night Dive Studios are looking to port this version across to Microsoft’s console as well as adding Turok 2: Seeds of Evil to the mix.
It seems as though the collection will not be coming to the Playstation 4 quite yet however as a follow-up tweet confirmed, “We’re evaluating other platforms but can’t confirm at this time”, but this is far from a definite refusal.
The Turok series lets the player take control of the titular warrior who aims to put an end to an evil force’s attempts to conquering the universe. Landing on a planet where time stands still named The Lost Land, where all sorts of creatures roam the lands – most famously the Dinosaurs but there are also encounters with Aliens.
The mantle of ‘Turok’ is passed down the generations to the eldest Male, with Tal’Set saving the day in the original Turok, and Joshua Fireseed in Turok 2.
