Xbox One and PS4 Sales Reach A Combined Total of 5.1 Million Units in UK
According to recent data collected and released by retailer Game Digital, Xbox One and PS4 sales have reached over a total of 5.1 million units in the U.K.
This basically means that the current generation of Playstation and Xbox is selling 45 per cent better than the last. According to the data; two years on from the launch, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 had only sold 3.5 million units.
Both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 managed to sell 14.5 million units in U.K. across a period of eight years and according to Games Digital, Xbox One and Playstation 4 has already surpassed one third of that.
When it comes to overall worldwide sales of both PS4 and Xbox One; we only have concrete information related to PS4 due to the fact that Sony presents the sales figures on a regular basis.
According to GamesIndustry.Biz; the last time we heard from Sony, Playstation 4 had sold over 35.9 million units worldwide.
