Xbox One Price Cut to $299 During Spring Sale, Limited Time Offer
An Xbox One price cut is on its way during Microsoft’s Spring sale next week. The Xbox One console will be available for $299 for a limited time, starting from Tuesday March 20th.
From March 22nd the sale will spread across to much more than just the console, with both PC and Xbox games as well as TV shows and movies available for 40%-60% off. The games included won’t be limited to older titles neither, with newer releases like Fallout 4, Far Cry Primal, Halo 5: Guardians, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Rainbow Six Siege all part of this huge sale that includes over 150 offers.
The sale will also include certain Xbox 360 games that are now available through the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility service. Xbox Live Gold members will receive an additional 10% off all of these games offers.
Some of the PC games on offer in next week’s sale include Hand of Fate, Leo’s Fortune, and Halo: Spartan Strike. As mentioned there will also be deals on hit movies and TV shows such as The Martian, Straight Outta Compton, Sicario, Better Call Saul and many more.
Playstation have today announced a PS VR launch bundle that will become available on March 22nd for pre-order, so Microsoft will be launching their Spring Sale in direct competition with this bundle. The Xbox One has lagged behind the PS4 in sales since both systems launched in late 2013 but this could go some way to reducing that deficit, as this Xbox One price cut is up to $50.
As of February 2016, combined PS4 and Xbox One sales had crossed 60 million but with the imminent release of the Playstation VR and this huge discount of Xbox One consoles and games that figure could be much higher in just a few months’ time.
