LawBreakers Recommends 16GB

LawBreakers is an upcoming multiplayer shooter developed by ex Gears of War developer Cliff Bleszinski and his Boss Key Productions.

The game’s system requirements were shared earlier with support for DX12 support. Good news, right? Of course it is, however, what’s really strange is that LawBreakers recommends 16GB  of RAM. Modern games don’t need that much RAM and in majority of them 8GB is more than enough.

More RAM is used for multi-tasking, video editing, streaming, video recording etc. However, for gaming you don’t need 16GB of RAM and like I said, 8GB is more than enough in fact, you can run all games just fine with 6GB as well. So we don’t know why 16GB is being recommended here.

Let’s move on to the rest of the details you need to know.

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia 460 (1GB)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 12 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Minimum specs listed are based on pre-alpha game build and subject to change.

RECOMMENDED:

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 -4790
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 12 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Recommended specs optimized for 90FPS. With a high end card like a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti the game should run at 144hz.
  • Game supports up to DX12.

As you can see, If you wish to run the game at over 90 FPS and reach the heavenly 144hz, you need to get a GTX 980Ti.

LawBreakers does not have a release date yet but Boss Key is planning to release it sometime this Summer. Also, the game won’t be free-to-play and it is a timed Steam exclusive.
